For those of you interested in the Brubaker Box and group was recently started by a person whos father just the guy that built them. I expect that there will be a good wealth of information on that group in the near future. They are even talking about trying to locate the molds.
Go ahead and give them a like today https://www.facebook.com/groups/514531428661857/
Hi, thank you for this post, we have had people find our Facebook via your website. I’m Deborah, and my dad, Mike Hansen, built Brubaker Box cars (renamed AutoMecca Sportsvan) in the early to mid-70’s. We are currently writing a book about the history of this very unusual car. Our FB group is the best place to hear news of the book, as well as lots of info about the cars that still exist (and are being restored!) today.
we have found one and are interested in restoring it and putting it on the market i believe it would be counted as the number 7th one known in existence today…my question is restored the 72 brubaker box how much would it be alued after it was restored???Maybe somebody there could give me an answer to my question….
You are looking at the wrong car if you think you are going to do a full restoration and flip it. Just because they didnt make a lot of them does not make them valuable. Kit cars do not work like that. Hate to break it to you.
How much would you want for it unrestored?
Mary, curious to hear if you had any luck acquiring the Box? Please let us know.
Is this thread still being maintained. I picked up a Box in 2012 and am finally going to start restoring it.
