Swedish Seethra Kit Car

Casper in Denmark recently picked up this Seethra kit car body in Sweden, where it was made in the eighties. As far as he knows about 200 were built, but he hasn’t been able to track down much info on them and was hoping some readers here might know more that would be of assistance in his completing this project — post in the comments if you do. This car, which sort of looks to me like the bastard child of an F40 and a Countach, was available both on a custom tube chassis and a VW pan — my advice to Casper was to choose the easy route and mount it on a VW.

What a unique mix of styles the engine cover has a back to the future DeLorean feel to it. That should look really cool finished up.

    Looks like highly modified Testarossa.

I haven’t been able to find any photos online of what it’s supposed to look like finished:(

There are doors, and all glass. But the pictures are taken right after we loaded it off the trailer.

Let me look and see what info I can find (if any). I sold off a lot of stuff over the winter because it was consuming a closet. I do have a lot of buyers guides and stuff from the 80s, but there will not be much info in them .

If I have anything I will let you know

Well, if you want an electric, we have developed a VW pan with an electric drive system. The original VW pan isn’t a good canidate for electric but we have built a lightweight pan that still uses the VW front axle. The drive system/battery configuration can be sized to your performance requirements and we offer rear suspensions systems ready for our drive units. Check out http://www.eco-evdesigns.com and email to jay@eco-evdesigns.com for configuration options and estimates.
