And this is one of those times. While we applaud anyone who gets their hands dirty and builds or restores a car, we do have to ask why? I love airplanes, and am working on my pilots license, but i want to fly a plane, not drive one!
I have just realized that this is one of those rare instances that I just have nothing more to write. Check out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1974-Airplane-rocket-car-custom-built-350-v8-three-wheel-3-wheel-custom-made-car-/290696403146?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item43aedb18ca if you want to own a driving and non flying plane

Remember the TV show My Favorite Martian? Paint it silver and it could be his ship lol. I bet the hand controls would take some getting used to. My Tri-Magnum has the clutch on the shifter and there was a learning curve to using it.
Hey Rich,
Do you get your Tri out a lot? Always loved them things
During the summer it’s at the cruise nights and runs to the store. It’s fun to drive and gets a lot of looks on the road. Right now it’s in the tent getting repainted the red was ok but some body mods were done. So decided to go with white this time it should look nice.
At the store once a guy and his buddy were looking at it and making comments. I walk up the guy goes “Why would someone buy a kit like this and ruin a good motorcycle” he was told it was built in a tent from scratch and when he went to correct me the key came out the hatch was opened . He got red faced and walked off shaking his head his buddy goes “Way to look like an ass Brad!”
A good laugh like that doesn’t come often :D
Rich your first post in this thread…I’m confused, do you own this rocket car?
If and that is a huge if I was going to get a rocket car I believe I would go for a Pulse, they are so weird cool I still see them pop up in sci fi films of the future,
Hi Paul
No that one isn’t mine I do have 2 things on this site tho. My Tri-Magnum project and an Aztec GT the trike has been finished for a while. The Aztec is up next to get done it got put aside for a bit . I had 2 Crosley micro cars and a customized Opel GT to finish up.
On the Ebay auction they explain how the rocket car is set up.The brakes and gas are lever operated no pedals cool but seems dangerous . In the Tri-Magnum the design calls for the clutch to be lever operated on the shifter . It’s not an easy thing to get used to but it works .
