Featured in the October 1994 issue of Kit Car Illustrated the Concept 2000 was a kit car produced by A to Z out of Ft Lauderdale. The car is said to be a loose (very loose) version of the Dodge Turbo Interceptor from the Charlie Sheen movie The Wraith. In my opinion nothing about it resembles the Wraith Car.

The car on eBay has a BIN price of $21,900 . At the core of the car is a 1988 Pontiac Fiero V6 with a Garrett Turbo. It also retained all the factory Fiero interior. The seller is quick to point out that THIS IS NOT A KIT CAR but in reality is was. It was offered in 3 packages. for $7000 you could get the basic body package, for $12,000 you could get an advanced packaged (mounted to your chassis) and for $25,000 you could get a turnkey. I dont doubt that the car in the auction is a factory built car, but lets be real. If it was offered as a kit in KIT CAR ILLUSTRATED its a kit car.

I have never really liked the use of the word rare when it comes to kit cars. In this case it is a Fiero with a body kit and not a production car. About 26,000 1988 fieros were produced. Is it nice? Sure! Was the body made in very low numbers? Yup! Worth $21k? Um not to me but I can still appreciate the car. Then again I would say the same about any Lambo kit on a stretched fiero chassis with an asking price of $50k.

What do you guys think ? Do you have $21k laying around and want it? If you had $21k would you buy it?
