Hey Everyone. This is not going to be a very long post. I just wanted to let everyone know I just came across this Aztec GT Kit Car for Sale in New York. The seller is asking $1200 for it and it appears that it is JUST the body.

The Aztec GT was one of the early kit cars by the Fiberfab Company. It used a VW Bug Chassis and came in the gull-wing version like in this ad, and a Tilt cab version. I guess you could say it was a very loose replica of the GT40 . Back in the 1960s the Standard Aztec GT was $645 and the “Deluxe” kit was $795. They also offered a “Convertible” version called the Azteca I for $745
With the standard kit you got the following…
- Aztec GT Body – Tilt Cab or Gull-Wing Doors
- Molded headlight receptacles
- Wheel wells
- Firewall
- Door or Cab hinges installed
- Central Dashboard
- Rear bulkhead to seal engine compartment

I would love to tell you that there is additional information on the craigslist listing but there is not. I will never understand how someone who is trying to sell something such as this cannot provide info on it.
