I picked this Sterling kit car up this morning here in Toronto. It’s never been completely finished or on the road, sitting for four years in a garage with the most recent owner, and eight years in a garage with the previous owner. Fingers crossed the trend will now be broken. Not much else to write on the project, but I’ll keep you updated of course.

[…] woo! The price was right so I bought that Sterling project car today. There are more pictures on my other site if you’re interested. It’s going to be a fair bit of work to finish, but I’m […]
It looks like a great find. Good to see it has all its parts too.

Also,, where is your other site ? (as mentioned above).
Alan – It’s a standard VW 1600cc setup. I will likely keep it that way, although Dave’s tube chassis is really nice!
My Kelmark is here in Toronto being worked on by someone else (it just needs minor cleanup), and some friends of mine have taken on the Laser 917 sypder project as well — I’ll be seeing them at the end of the month so if there’s anything to report on those I will.
2 words: PUT A V8 IN IT.
thats all.
Long time fan of the Sterling, If I am not being to forward what was it worth, I looked for one before I bought my Puma GTI.
Love to see it complete..
Regards Larry…
I don’t mind saying — I paid $3000 for it. It’s in great shape and has been garage stored its entire life, so I’m happy with the find.
I saw the AD for this car but when I called he said it was sold, good to see it went to a good home…I’v only ever seen two other Novas in Ontario, one was on ebay and exported to the US…the other, another project sitting in a barn in windsor area I beleive….There is also two Sebrings one outside ottawa and the other I have and will hopefully get some more work done on it in the new year.
