Well Joe is back again and this time with the Aeromaster. This car looks amazing . Here is the press release he provided to us with information about the car…..

My name is Joey Lee, and I would like to share my brand new finished project and I really hope my project is interesting for you and your readers.

Before 5 years, I decided to build my car from scratch. My dream was to build a unique one-off Lemans style kitcar, since there is no body kit with a pure LMP style in the kitcar market. I spend a long time to choice a beautiful and stylish LMP body to get inspiration, at last I gain inspiration from the 2003 Bentley EXP Speed 8 LMP prototype, as the car presented the modern LMP style and has very sexy body lines.

With a limited budget and unknown difficulties, with some my friend started to design the CAD body work and chassis, after that we build the foam body, made the moulds, tube chassis, ordered parts from UK, USA…. We worked every single day for this DIY project at last 5 years.

The big problem with the design, development and the assembly of the body during the build is the original LMP body parts are very complicated, the LMP cars with many piece body parts and moulds are very difficult to make. During the whole time, we tried our best to make the body pieces very close to the real LMP bodies.

Since the car is our first project, there still has some shortcoming on it, and still many things to do. Also the engine is not strong enough as the car is an experimental car. The car can be powered by any V6-V8 engine for option.

The body kit are 12 pieces without rear spoiler, make from fiberglass; windshield and side windows are made from polycarbonate; tube chassis is hand made powered by Renault PRV V6 engine, transaxle is also from the original Renault; front wheels are 18” rears are 19”, suspensions are from QA1.

The “Aeromaster” LMP is a full-size LMP kitcar, with length:4640mm, width:1990 mm, height: 997mm, wheelbase-2740 mm, total weight-850 kg, mid-engine, rear drive.
