Fiberfab Jamaican for Sale

This Fiberfab Jamaican is for sale on craiglist right now. From what I can see from the pictures is it is in pretty good shape. If you have not heard of the Fiberfab Jamaican here is a brief history lesson…

The Jamaican was one of Fiberfab’s early car bodies. It was produced in the 1960s. It was manufactured to be installed onto a TR3, TR4, MGA, Austin-Healey or a Volkswagen Beetle chassis. Later in production Fiberfab built a tube chassis for use with a V8 power-plant.

It is said that the Jamaican was named after the Fiberfab’s Founder first love. Her name as you might have guessed was Jamaica! Obviously this is just a rumor and I have no fact to back it up, but its something I have read time and time again.

I have heard time and time again that the Fiberfab Jamaican inspired by the Lamborghini Miura. But lets be honest it looks nothing like it. Not even a little bit. The Aztec 7 does use a Miura Windshield so maybe that is where people get confused. There was also a Fiberfab print ad at one time that said “If you cant afford $21,900 for a Lamborghini, how about $895 for a Fiberfab Jamaican?” Again who knows where that started at. Maybe it was, but I cant see it.

Anyone this one is on craigslist right now and priced at $2100 . The seller says it is on a 1967 VW Beetle chassis. Also says the wiring harness is not in the car and it will not start but it does have a 1600cc VW engine in it. It appears to be in pretty good shape overall but I do not think it is at a $2000 level. Im not saying its a bad price, just that I think there is a bit of room there.

It is located in Tennessee and it may be a good project for someone.

Have a look at the pics and let us know what you think!
