Lou recently purchased the Sirocco GT that we previously featured here, one of the only examples of this car known to exist, and was kind enough to send in some new pictures of it. It’s on a VW chassis with a 1600cc engine and Lou says he’s probably going to keep it, but had briefly listed it for $5,000 (he’s in Spring Hill, Florida) so write him at dlevine007@yahoo.com if you’re interested. It’s an interesting “dunebuggiation” of the GT40, with modifications including a flat (and oddly shaped) windshield and a lack of doors.
That has to be one of the homliest cars I’ve ever seen (there are a few others that are worse). I do think that there are a few aspects of it that could be incorporated into another car or built upon i.e. the windsheild and hood. How many of these were produced? A real oddity.
Good luck with it’s resoration
