I have a soft spot for Sterlings, it was my first kit car,,,,I have been seeing this car offered for sale for a while, my guess to why it has not found a home is I feel the asking price is about double what you can buy a comparable Sterling for,
While it looks like it is built and finished very well I can’t warm up to little things like the two tone dash giving it a low end trying to look high end idea, to me anyway.
The other thing is to really get past that 8-10 K asking price hurdle of a VW based car you really need a sweet engine, even a water cooled transplant, but on this 1835 I would really expect to see dual carbs ( and at that price AC ) they work so much better than the uno Weber progressive.
Again the pro side is the car seems to be ready to rock so if you fall in love with it and have deep pockets why not go bid away on this one.
