Rick has this great Aquila kit car for sale. Because he has already done the hard work I am just going to post his listing from another website. Guys this is a great kit. Very few of them made, and they look great when done. He is willing to wheel and deal, but will not accept a low ball offer just to see it go. So dont waist your time or his.

Up for grabs is my 1980 Aquila kit. Somewhat rare – talked with the son of the owner of the company, American Fibercraft, who personally built every single car with his father. There were a total of 50 kits built. The kit is in “barn find” mode; it was ordered from the factory in primer but basically assembled already. The wiring needs to be added and a couple odds and ends sorted, but otherwise very complete.

It is missing one side window – flat glass – and the other can be used as a template (or I can provide a CAD file). From what I understand the back story to the car was it changed hands a number of times but each owner never did anything with it. The fuel tank has never seen a drop – it’s pristine inside!

There is no engine, but I have a Corvair 110 that runs well (and has the Otto valve and oil pan covers and a set of ultra-rare headers) that can go with it for the right price. If you purchase with the Corvair engine, I have a zero mile reversed transaxle to go with it.. again, the price needs to be right. The car sits on a 1970 Beetle chassis that has already been altered by the factory to accept the installed lowered fiberglass floorpans – the body is a monocoque!

Included with the car will be a wiring diagram for the steering column (Toyota), a spare column with steering wheel, a set of fiberglass bucket seats that specifically fit this car and a wood dash that was fastened when I bought it. My plans were to re-do the dashboard since I didn’t like the placement of the gauges, so it’s loose, but included. The drivers door latch will need to be addressed as it’s been pulled to figure out a remote entry system. I have all the parts for that as well. I have a complete 18 circuit wiring harness that can be included as well for additional cost. This would be a great father/son project and has the potential to be on the road in a very short amount of time. I’m simply out of time to work on it and it needs to clear space in my garage. The title is a clear CA title that is still in the previous owners name. Car will roll and steer – brakes are gone from sitting. Overall value with the engine, transaxle and the car is over $5500 – and worth much more once finished.

Outright sale or maybe interesting trades considered (specifically, a Honda Goldwing, late ’90’s or later). Buyer to provide their own shipping; will help load as best as possible.

Best reasonable offer considered for entire package.
