Up on eBay right now in Michigan (#260267705177) is a stunning tribute to the Cody Coyote from Hardcastle and McCormick built on the tube chassis version with the Pontiac Grand Am 3300 engine and an automatic transmission. Four wheel disc brakes, adjustable suspension (Mustang II front), and a Dakota Digital dash, modern stereo system, a Vintage air AC system, and a rear-mounted rad that keeps the car cool. As part of the Coyote conversion, the top half of the doors have been been removed, so the car is now a full-time open targa… If you’re alright with this, this is one of the nicest Montages on the road, although I think that with a buy it now price of $59,900 it’s extremely unlikely to sell, although it does have a “make an offer” link (personally I think it’s worth around $25,000).

I loved that car as a kid when that show was on. And with the supercharged 3.8 that’d be a mover. wow.
The best to me was when Hardcastle and McCormick was going after the bad guys. McCormick was really going fast with the Coyote and you hear the engine really roaring and the tires spinnging.

Beautiful kit! Does anyone have the contact informaion for the builder I’m from Kuwait and I own a manta montage 1983. I tried to contact many people that own the same car, in face I tried to contact David Dines the owner of the original coyote of Hardcastle & McCormick to help me get spare parts and accessories to build up a coyote my self so please I appreciate if you can help me get accessories for my car like ( side mirrors / front lights / and some interior stuff ).

I own a 1995 Manta Montage Stage III McLaren based car.
She has a 1990 McLaren based V6 intercooled turbo in her with a 4sp auto shift. She gets close to 40 MPG and will do speeds approaching 100 MPH in second gear. To say she is a head turner would be an understatement. Anyone wanting information about the Manta just see my website and I would be glad to talk to anyone about her. The coyote x was a modified Manta Montage . Best bet would be to keep an eye on craigslist and ebay for any that are for sale.
