Hey everyone,

I usually stay away from anything like this but I figured I would go ahead and make a post about the mg td kit cars I have seen for sale on craigslist and other places around the web.

For those of you who do not know the MG TD was a 2 seat convertible made by MG. The TD was produced from 1950 to 1953. The car featured high gearing, rack and pinion steering, and had a smaller 15-inch (380 mm) disc type road wheel. In addition it had a left-hand drive option and standard equipment bumpers and over-riders. The car was about 5 inches (130 mm) wider with a 50 inch (1,300 mm) Track.

Under the hood the driver enjoyed a face melting 57hp that would propel the MG from 0-60 in about 18 seconds while achieving 22mpg.

Over the years many, MANY kit car manufactures produced copies of the MG TD. MG only made 30,000 of them, but I would imagine there are 3 times that many MG kit cars around in various stages. Some of the better known MG TD Kit Cars were produced by …

British Coach Works
Classic Roadsters, LTD
MP Lafer
Piper Auto
Rich Industries
Classic Motor Carriages
London Motors Corporation

Here is a short list of MG TD Kit Cars For Sale around the web. These prices are all over the place and most of overpriced in my opinion. There are a few good deals out there but most sellers seems to think they have a real MG TD and not a replica lol

If you have an interest in an MG TD replica I suggest you do and check them out. If you have a fiberfab MIGI and are looking for a replacement emblem we have them available in our store. They are a great reproduction of a hard to find emblem.  You can find them HERE
