This is pretty sweet. Ian in Quebec City just sent in these photos of his heavily modified Aquila and I think its great. His email states that it is on a 1976 chassis and has a Chrysler 2.2 engine with a KEP adapter plate.
He says it has been on the road since 2010, has 3000 hours into it, and a our of pocket cost of $42k (OUCH!)
What do you guys think?

To each their own, of course. He took the nice, relatively sleek and curvy lines of the Aquila and totally bastardized it into something else. For $42K I would have happily given him mine!
You still trying to sell yours Rick?
well, I seldom like yellow cars and most times like them less when they have black trim looking like a wasp,
okay that was lame but whats with the tacked on looking black gee-gaws?
I would be embarassed to be in it…and anyone can find a shop to soak up tall dollars, here is proof it might not be worth the investment.
The Aquila just by itself is arguably an ugly duckling (like an Invader), but what these guys did was take it beyond the realms of bad taste into something even deeper. This is proof of that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I personally think the Aquila fresh off out of the molds is beautiful
My mother always said, “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”……….
it’s look like an old maserati
this modified aquila has a full electric windows in the gullwing doors (the mecanisms and electric motors are from a toyota corolla 1992, rear doors). I’ve never seen another aquila with electric windows.
I actually own the Aquila GT Company, purchased from Roberts’ 2 sons. In my opinion the Quebec Aquila GT is 1 of the finest I have seen, if anyone knows the Owner I would love to talk with him.
