I wish I could remember the name of the kit (maybe someone can post it), but I really liked this modified VW with a truck rear and a Rolls-Royce-esque grill. Check out the custom made rear bumper/wing by the way.

The pickup bed and bumper are part of a kit from about the late 70’s. I think it uses Chevy taillights. The fiberglass Roll-Royce style hood was fiberglass aftermarket part too. You could also get one that looked like a 40 Ford grille.
BTW what was that Van-ish thing next to it? I’ve seen that kit before, maybe years ago.
Shit I AM old.
I’m very interested in the same kit. Any help locating one would be appreciated.
I’ve got one of the truck bed conversions in good to ok shape , it’s in the Austin Texas area make me an offer
It’s a “DUMAS” truck kit and is still offered by BGW Spectre Ltd. Anybody deal with that company before as I also have a kit and was looking for more info?
It was a Domus flatback not “DUMAS” BGW has been around along time. I have kitcar mags from the early 80s that they advertised in.
David,

BGW Spectre ltd. would be a good start. They have a web site, but not a web catalog yet.You can order a catalog for about $22.00 or so and is supose to have quite a bit of various kits and parts.I spoke with the owner there and he told me as for the truck bed conversion (Domus flat back)is now named the “D” kit and mostly sell “repair parts”.
I have recently came across this kit including the rolls hood the bed, fenders and numerous other pieces. All are unused and in great condition. I’m trying to find out what it is worth and will be selling it soon after.
