I am posting this for one of my regular customers at the track. Until he drove it in yesterday I did not even know he owned it. He is downsizing his collection to concentrate on one build and is ready to part with this great looking car. If you or anyone you know might be interested in it feel free to contact Tony. This is a serious car for the money.
Classic Roadsters Sebring MX a fiberglass replica of a 1960’s Austin Healey 3000 on STEROIDS. Equipped with a GM ZZZ crate motor with the “HOT” GM hyd. roller cam. Upgraded with roller rocker arms and Edelbrock performer intake and Edelbrock 800 CFM thunder series carb. Headman headers with Flow Master HushPower mufflers. Borg Warner T-5 Jasper rebuilt 5 Speed tranny.
Ford 8 inch rear with 350 gears and Posi-Traction.The front suspension is a Mustang II type with QA1 coil over shocks and upgraded 11 inch brakes. The rear end uses Fox Body upper and lower Mustang control arms and the car has front and rear anti sway bars. 10 inch rear and 8 inch front Centerline Wheels with 295-50-15 rubber on the rear. I have owned it since 02-2003.
You get in it cranks, runs perfect, turns every head you when you pass. The car/engine has about 15000 miles on it. It is a loud, obnoxious red, in your face car that does not have to apologize or back down from anyone or anything in the looks or performance department. Car ran 11.80’s at 117MPH on 8 inch slicks. The slicks were laying around the shop; I had to try it at least once…The car is the same size and weight as most 427 AC Cobra replicas but is much more unique.
To go with the car as shown I have a vinyl top, boot cover, roll up windows and new front and rear chrome bumpers. I also have a new never installed front chrome grill and spare windshield. Price is firm but consider this, if it was a Cobra instead of and Austin Healey the price would $41,500 not $22,500. I am selling because I have too many toys and too little room. One plus for this car is that Hagerty Insurance will insure this Austin Healey replica but will not insure Cobra replicas, twice the fun at half the price
Tony Lamb 407-932-0532. $22,500 US
I never really got a grasp on why the AC cobra was so popular, at one time the local cruise had a “cobra corral” so many would show up, yawn.
I actually see more AC cobra replicas than c3 vettes driving around, so it’s pretty darn refreshing to see something like this “Cobra Killer” which in many ways this car looks better than a Cobra, offers more than a Cobra and in this one you are not likely to ever see yourself coming.
Super looking car. Two or three times the performance of a “real Healy”; lots cheaper to own. Will real Healy ficinados turn up their noses? Of course, but you won’t care you’ll be miles ahead of them in a few seconds.
Much more usable than a Cobra for us elderly folks(side windows, top, heater, defroster, etc.)
