Dio Cars USA has been in OKC since 1991 but owner Bill Bonadio has over 35 years experience building custom cars.
Current Kit Lineup
Dio Tipo 61 – The Dio Tipo 61 is a continuation of the Ambro Sports Car of the 1960s. The Tipo 61 Body kit can be built on a Triumph Tr-3, Tr-4, Tr-6, MGA, Datsun 1600 or 2000 and even a VW chassis. In addition they also have chassis plans (at an additional cost) to build a tube chassis. The main body is molded to a 102″ wheelbase, but can be cut down to as little as 88″. The front track has to be between 45.5 to 52 inches. The optimum rear track is 45 inches to allow for a large tire. There could be other chassis that could be used as long as they could fit within these measurements. The Body Kit starts at $6500
Dio S-40 – The Dio S-40 is a Kit Car based on the 1983-1994 Blazers and Jimmys and 1983 to 1993 S-10 and S-15 Pickups. If you want the looks of a 1940s truck but do not want to put a dent in your wallet this is a great choice. The Basic kit is $4,495.00 and includes the Front end, fenderettes, inner fender adapter, lower valance, Rear fender and extension, instruction manual. The Deluxe kit is $6495.00 but in addition to everything in the basic kit you also get these items…Visor, grill, 4×2 lowering kit, headlight buckets,headlight doors complete with lamps,Park lens and gaskets, tilt assembly, locator cups, standard radiator with fan, shroud, brackets and filler neck
Future Models
Dio cars is in the process of building a coupe version of their Dio Tipo 61 . This car will have all the great features of the Dio Tipo 61 but will have a roof! From what we have seen for pictures its going to be one great looking car when finished.
