I tend to think of the Charger like the Invader GT — one of those funny cars that looks great from some angles but attrocious from others. Now having seen these photos of Lloyd‘s Charger I’m more leaning toward the idea that it’s kind of a “dunebuggyified” Lotus Elise or something, and I quite like it (I think this is the first one I’ve seen that’s not either slowly rotting or an ancient photo)… Anyway, check it out:
Oh, and as you can see from the last photo, it just had its wiring redone — this is still a work in progress.

Cars looking awesome! Never seen a charger before until one turned up on ebay a while back, and im sooo tempted to buy it, but im not sure if i can afford another project! lol

I’ve been given one of these. Theres not a lot left of it. Do you know where I can get any good information and pictures to help me rebuilt it. If i do tackle this project it will be my first attempt at building a kit.
we have just bought a 1973 version that hasnt got an engine or moved in nearly 20 years.wish us luck!

let me know what you need, I can take pics of mine and email them to you. Do you have the windscreen and rear window? The windscreens come from Vauxhall Victor, and, if you think that is hard to get, the rear window is from a Vauxhall Nova estate!!

the engine is a doddle. any vw flat 4 will fit – even a flat 6 from a porche, but that would probably kill anyone who tried to drive such a light car with such a powerplant. Mine is a standard 1500 vw beetle that i have re-ringed twice.
hi lioyd, firstly i own a charger 2 and mines on the road the front screen is a ford cortina 3,4 or 5, not the estate the rear is a citroen gs item ,i dont know where you were told vauxhall from , mine has a 1500 case, but with 1600 barrels and pistons i had to make up a rear screen out of perspex but the front can still be got its a fun car to own and is plenty fast enough in standard form i am looking for a rear seat or a drawing of one,
