Gregory sent us a few photos of a mystery GT40kit car. I really like the rear end of it as well as the headlight area. Looks like it would be a pretty fun project.
Anyone out there have any guess as to who made this one?

No guess; it’s an Alta (pronounced like all. I heard it from the owner of the company). Made by Dune Buggy Inc. in Denver, CO in the early to mid ’70’s alongside the Bandit (of Montgomery Wards fame) (not to be confused with the stolen name Bandit currently being made in CA), and the Fargo (of Pizza Hut fame). And I seem to recall identifying a blue Alta a few years ago, as well.
I owned one of those. It was an Alta GT I bought it in 1971 in Denver for $600 from a friends uncle. It sat in my garage for 3 years. I sold it to a guy in Utah county.
